Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Cuban Workers' Federation in Jaruco is getting ready for the twenty-first congress of their organization, to be held in January 2019.

The general secretary of the organization in the territory, Gladis Carriera Medina, explained that in this moment, they are carrying out the reading and analysis of the call to the meeting at the grassroots organizations; they are also making balance of the work of the union sections, to later make the municipal conference.

In the nine months that are far from the worker’s event, special activities that recall the 165th anniversary of the birth of José Martí and the 80th of the founding of the Cuban Workers’ Federation, constituted and led by the captain of the working class Lázaro Peña will be carried out in all work centers.

This period of debate and reflection is aimed at reinforcing union work and its good performance.

As Army General, Raul Castro, said in the twentieth Congress, held in 2014: "The CTC and the trade unions should concentrate on the essentials, which is to exercise their activity in the interest of the successful implementation of the Economic Policy Guidelines and Social of the Revolution and develop a differentiated and comprehensive political-ideological work in defense of the unity of the Cubans ".

In January of the next calendar, when the CTC will celebrate its eightieth anniversary, this process will conclude from which the Cuban trade union movement will emerge stronger and more united.
