Mayabeque, Cuba_ His Excellency Mr. Pak Chang Yul, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Cuba, visited the Provincial Assembly of the People's Power of Mayabeque, where he received detailed information about this territory, the blog Mayabequeando publishes.

Laura María Gálvez Rodríguez, vice president of that government body in the province, explained the process of creating this young territory, its administrative structures, the experiment that is carried out and other aspects of the functional, economic and social character.

Chang Yul, along with many of the members of the embassy of the brother country, also visited the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences (INCA) and the National Center for Agricultural Health (CENSA), where they learned about the work done by these work collectives, their achievements, immediate and future projections.

At the conclusion of the visit, the ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea thanked the hospitality shown. "It is interesting," he said, "the experience that is taking place in this province, where we reaffirm that Cuba and my country will continue to strengthen their historical ties of friendship."

The Korean delegation was accompanied byJuan José León Vega, vice president of the Cuban Committee in Support of the Reunification of Korea; Leima Martínez, director for Asia and Oceania of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples and other ICAP officials.
