Mayabeque, Cuba_ Two athletes from Mayabeque participate together with their teammates in the RPC Tour of Panama, an event that ends on September 4th.
The contest takes place in four stages with the presence of riders from 20 countries, including Cuba. The Antillean team consists of five athletes in the Master A category, from 30 to 39 years old, and the B from 40 to 49.
According to information from the technical director of cycling in Mayabeque, Roberto Gil Hernández, Lemay León Barranco from Güines and Yodanys Álvarez Calderón from San Jose compete in the Master A.
The rest of the team participates in the Master B category, they are accompanied by Willy Hierro, as technical director of the team and the international Addel Salas.
Roberto Gil Hernández added that after finishing the RPC Tour, it begins the Tour of Chiriqui, also in Panama, contest sponsored by the radio and television in that country.
These competitions serve our athletes and the rest of the members of the Cuban team as preparation for the Bicycle Tour to Cuba 2019, in the coming month of February.
