Mayabeque, Cuba_ The first training workshop of the Local Agricultural Innovation Project (PIAL) of the province of Mayabeque, in its fourth stage, takes place in the Memories Jibacoa Hotel, with the presence of its coordinators in the municipalities, scientists and specialists of the branch.
This newly started phase, with a 4 years duration, involved the authorities of the territories, among them the Assemblies of Popular Power, the Administration Council, the Cuban Women Federation (FMC), together with the university centers, who direct this program to achieve healthier harvests, diversify the productions and apply the technological advances.
The objective is to achieve economic sustainability and good practices related to obtaining high quality food, female empowerment, youth participation and joint work of multiple social actors.
