Mayabeque, Cuba_ Researchers and specialists from the Institute of Animal Science (ICA) will represent the province in the Sixth International Congress of Tropical Animal Production 2018, to be held from October 29 to November 2 in Havana.

The director of research and post-grade, María Felicia Díaz Sánchez, told Radio Mayabeque Digital: "This time the slogan of the Congress is "For a Demanding Animal Production ".

Issues related to the growth of species of economic interest to achieve the available capacity of production systems will be discussed at the meeting.

Other aspects will be the employment and the study of different parts of the plants of interest for livestock, and in this sense a Workshop is being organized related to the contribution of the Cuban Sciences to the use of protein plants.

In the VI International Congress of Tropical Animal Production, scheduled for the end of October and the beginning of November, the Agrarian University of Havana, the National Center for Animal Health (CENSA) and the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INCA) will be represented among other entities.
