Mayabeque, Cuba_ Next November the whistle of the Base Business Unit (UEB) Héctor Molina Riaño, will mark the start of the sugar harvest in the municipality of San Nicolás.

The repairs of the industry are advancing in this moment, according to the director of the UEB, Pedro Raidel Romero López, who told Radio Mayabeque: "the maintenance is at 65 percent, result that is superior to the same stage of the previous year. We have worked very hard in the months of July and August because the entry of resources was completed on date and the workers donated part of their vacation to complete the repairs next month so be rady to grind in November.

He also referred to the actions that are carried out in other areas. "In the mills, one of the fundamental areas, the masses are being rehabilitated with welding, the blades were recovered and a great effort is made in the reconstruction of the starting conductors, a repaired pump, but in good condition, will be assembled in the slopes".

San Nicolás’ sugar producers have the purpose of increasing production in the coming harvest with greater savings and efficiency.
