Mayabeque, Cuba_ The journalist Andrés Machado Conte received the Cuban Radio’s Microphone as part of the activities for the National Culture Day.

It is the highest recognition granted by the entity to workers of this media, with a long career and relevant results for more than 25 years. He received it at the headquarters of Radio Camoa, station of the capital of Mayabeque.

It was granted to him at the proposal of this local radio station where he has collaborated for several years with an outstanding work in the realization, conduction and direction of programs.

Machado Conte has to his credit prizes such as "Crear es vencer", "Honrar honra", awarded by the Marti’s Studies Center "Al mérito journalístico" delivered by the Cuban Radio and more recently that of cultural journalism "José Antonio Fernández De Castro " for the work of all life, among others.

The prominent journalist participated in the inauguration of Fernando Lugo Asunción, Paraguay in 2008, interviewed Fidel on more than four occasions and has participated in national coverage related to history.
