Mayabeque, Cuba_ Women who join the peasant sector in Güines made an exchange of experiences about the contribution to the national economy, the work in the plots and the role they play in society, management positions among other issues.
The president of the grassroots organization Venancio Núñez, Madelín Ramos López, said: "I have had a good experience because my relationship with the peasant women has been very fruitful, we worked together the President of the Cooperative and myself as president of the grassroots, we work together, because if we do not do it that way, the tasks are not fulfilled ".
“The production behaves in a favorable way, we are one of the cooperatives that are inserted in the more than 100 thousand quintals of production of various crops. Today the importance of the females is high, we had to transmit the legacy left by Las Marianas, Vilma and Celia to this generation. They made clear the importance of women in all the processes of the Revolution”, Ramos López added in her declarations to Radio Mayabeque Digital.
These arguments are inherent to gender equity, access to rights and the contribution to family farming with a decent work.
