Mayabeque, Cuba_ The musical group Amanecer, from Mayabeque, will perform at La Ruinas Cultural Center, in San José de las Lajas, this Saturday at five in the afternoon and at eight in the evening at the ServiTur, El Copey, Madruga.
In both places, they will make a presentation of their themes dedicated to women and the campaign against non-violence towards that population sector. The space will be propitious to sing songs like “Canción de febrero”, "Niña mía”, “Busca a otro”, "Tú, sólo tu", and others from the Blanco y Negro record produced by this group of the province, and from the international repertoire , with which they delight the public.
The vocalist Cecilia Placeres, told Radio Mayabeque Digital that they are promoting the theme of the popular movement Growing Together, authored by Carlos Placeres, director of the group. Amanecer, during 25 years of experience, first with a small format and later with a greater number of members, fuses Cuban music with Caribbean elements when it comes to playing El Carnaval and Suenan los Tambores, by Laritza Bacallao, one of the most outstanding singers of popular and contemporary music of Cuba.
They also include the bongo and the minor percussion in songs performed by the vocalist, composer and producer, Leoni Torres, described as one of the most important figures of Cuban music today. Leoni’s themes, such as Toda la vida and ¿A dónde vas? assumed those sonorities. For the future, according to Cecilia, among their projects, they have ventured into themes written by the prestigious Cuban musician, producer and composer Osmany Espinosa, whose songs have a significant influence on the popularity of young performers and whose work is requested by consecrated orchestras.
