Mayabeque, Cuba_ Professionals from Mayabeque are participating today in the XVIII Conference of Medical Science Consultant Teachers that will be held in Havana.
In this edition, the debates will focus on the history of Medicine and its experiences in the training of professionals of the National Health System.
Through panels, round tables, free themes, conferences and traditional and electronic posters, the professionals will exchange experiences, to provide their contributions to the improvement of the ways and methods used in the training of human resources.
The youngest province will be represented among others by the Consultant Teachers, Professors Gilda Scull Scull, Marisol Arias and Martha Alba Pérez Valdés, who will lecture on the History of Medical Teaching in the territory, from 1982 to the present and the achievements in the training of medical science professionals.
The appointment is called by the University of Medical Sciences of Havana (UCMH), in greeting to the Health Worker and Educator Days and in the context of the commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the beginning of the War of Independence and the 60th of the Triumph of the Revolution.
Based in the Julio Trigo School of Medical Sciences until this Friday, the program of the conclave contemplates the laying of a wreath to the hero that gives name to the faculty and will pay posthumous tribute to Doctor Avilio Yera Padrón, Founding Dean of the institution, inaugurated by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, on October 28, 1989.
At the closing ceremony they will welcome the group of new consulting professors who join the movement, recognize the participants who arrive this year at 80 and 90 years of existence and announce the headquarters of the XIX Conference of Consultants Teacher.
