Mayabeque, Cuba_ José Martí Cultural Society, located in San José de las Lajas, will host the activities for December 10, Human Rights Day.

Relatives and children of the children's day care center Dulce Sonrisa, from the capital of Mayabeque, will participate in this event, which is part of the Project Transforming to Educate, sponsored by the Association of Pedagogues of Cuba.

In this way the educators link the family and the community in general, to the work in the educational centers.

On this occasion there will be a discussion on the Convention on the Rights of Boys and Girls and other topics related to the family.

This celebration dates back to 1948, when the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and proclaimed its principles as a common ideal for all peoples and nations.
