Mayabeque, Cuba_ Specialists from the National Center for Agricultural Health (CENSA) assured that the systematic use of STABILAK by milk producers in the province makes it a leading product for that scientific institution.

At this time, the product is distributed to private dairies and producers, both from state and cooperative movement and peasants to maintain the quality of food, whether of cows, goats and buffalo.

It is a very effective product to transport milk over long distances, when there is temporary refrigeration and when prolonged storage occurs. STABILAK activates the enzyme Lactoperoxidase, transforming the thiocyanate ions into compounds that act as bacteriostatic or bactericide according to the microorganisms present.

The effect time transits from 8 to 24 hours and depends on the quality of the milk at the time of milking, the hygiene and handling of the product, the cleaning of the recipients for the storage and the ambient temperature.

The product does not harm human health and does not affect the taste, smell and color of milk, nor the manufacture of dairy products. It is approved by the Codex Alimentarius, according to statements by the specialists of the scientific center located in the municipality of San José de las Lajas, province of Mayabeque.

STABILAK has been used in Cuba since 1992, with experience in Africa, Asia and more than 30 countries in Latin America.
