Mayabeque, Cuba_ The outstanding players from Mayabeque, Orlando Lavandera Álvarez and Yadián Martínez Pérez, were included in the All Stars selection, of the recently concluded 58 National Baseball Series.

Lavandera, turned Golden Glove like central outfielder thanks to its excellent defense, only 2 errors in 176 plays during 564 and two thirds of entrances played, for an extraordinary average of 989.

"El mago", as he is also known in the baseball argot, Lavandera has experience in the Cuban ball, he has already spent ten seasons, first he was with the missing Habana team, now he defends the colors of the Hurricanes of Mayabeque.

In this campaign, he was requested as reinforcement of the Tigers from Ciego de Avila, also performing as a regular center field in Roger Machado's troop.

For his part Yadián was selected as the best right starter, with sufficient merits. In the regular stage, he started 20 games, winning 10 and losing 3. He was the pitcher who worked the most, 135 and a third of work, where he allowed 3.06 clean runs for every nine innings and his WHIP was 1.29, with 70 strikeouts, 53 tickets and an offensive average of the opponents of only 241.

In the final he contributed 50 percent of the success of Las Tunas, and made possible his insertion in the national team to represent Cuba in the Caribbean Series.
