Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Fire Protection Day started since May 9th and will run until December of this year, to salute the anniversaries 320 of the creation of the Fire Department in Cuba, the 50th of the Conference on Fire Protection and the 30th of the creation of the Cuba Fire Department Association of Volunteer firemen.

First Lieutenant Vladimir Hernandez Prado, Chief of Command IV in Guines, explained that the different firefighter’s centers will exhibit the current means for fighting fires, carry out preventive work in companies of each municipality and activities with pioneers’ circles of interest.

He added that they are going to award the most outstanding companies in fire security and to develop competition between labor brigades, practical exercises, as well as the awarding of prizes of the children's competitions, If I were a firefighter and Volunteer Firefighter I am.

"Guines’ Command will host an exhibition on the history of firefighters in the province, on May 17 of this calendar," said the first lieutenant.
