Mayabeque, Cuba_ The production of plastic bifocals lenses by the Pharmacy and Optical Company of Mayabeque, benefits the people of this province.

The assembly of ten Italian equipment, with advanced technology, allowed the change of bifocals glass lenses by plastic ones. The productive capacity of the equipment is of 220 surfaces daily, which meets the demand of the territory.

According to Alexis Castillo Silveira, optical specialist in the province, this technology allows to increase the production, reduce the delivery cycles and achieve greater acceptance in the population.

The models most preferred by customers are plastic and medium format, better known as air frame glasses.

The institution aims to increase its services in 2017 by creating an optical complex, which may include consultation, refractive and lens carving for companies and entities of Mayabeque.
