Mayabeque, Cuba: The Agrarian University of Havana Fructuoso Rodríguez (UNAH), located in San José de las Lajas, was the headquarters of the First Provincial Road Safety Workshop Mayabeque 2019.

The objective of the theoretical event was to socialize the experiences and research related to such an important issue and to prevent and reduce accidents in the territory, a social phenomenon with a high incidence in the province.

In the three commissions that met, the more than 180 participants analyzed the studies aimed at prevention and education in road safety, including: Strategies to promote a cultural change in the community from the Municipal University Center of Bejucal; Projects designed to protect and care for the lives of Cubans; Scientific studies on the effects of alcohol and other drugs on traffic accidents.

After finishing the day, the provincial commission in alliance with the UNAH, awarded the works with a high contribution. On this occasion, they awarded three relevant prizes and an equal number of highlights and mentions.
