Mayabeque, Cuba: The 11 Municipal Electoral Councils were constituted in Mayabeque, after reading the agreements of the State Council of the Republic of Cuba and the National Electoral Council.

In a solemn act of inauguration and swearing in of its members, the Provincial Electoral Council of Mayabeque was instituted, in compliance with Law 127 or Electoral Law, endorsed on July 13 in session of the National Assembly of People's Power.

As President of the Electoral Council of the province, they elected Raquel Piñeiro Díaz, while the appointment as vice president fell to Juan Roberto Rodríguez Chávez and will serve as secretary Eraida Espinosa Aguilar.

The Electoral Council in Mayabeque is also made up of 14 members. All members have the responsibility of enforcing socialist democracy in accordance with the Constitution approved by our people.

In the municipality of Madruga, Noel Campillo was elected President to that instance and during the day the preparation of the constituency delegates continue with a view to the second Rendering Account process in the current term that begins in October.

On the other hand, in the municipality of Güines with the approval of one hundred percent of the delegates present at the working session of the Assembly of the Popular Power, they approved Heidi Galloso Suárez, as President of the Municipal Electoral Council.

After the proposal of the higher instance was presented, several delegates expressed their opinion regarding Heidi, with extensive experience in the electoral processes carried out in Cuba in recent years. Galloso Suárez served as President of the local Electoral Commission.

Meanwhile, in the coastal municipality of Melena del Sur, the election of Mateo Vicente Azcuy Reyes, as the highest electoral authority, also obtained unanimous approval.

The city of Jaruco, constituted the Electoral Council, headed this time by Alfredo Antonio León Medina, who will take office on September 27, as the rest of those selected.
