Mayabeque, Cuba: The celebrations for the World Well-fare Week with the purpose of raising the quality of life carried out under the motto Creating Educational Institutions for Health, finished in San Nicolás.
Teachers and students developed different activities to strengthen the strategy and plan of action in order to promote a healthy environment in schools.
Presentations of circles of interest, lectures on road education, prevention of drug use, diseases transmitted by vectors, the care of nature, among other topics occupied last week's agenda.
The goal is to provide more opportunities and prevent non communicable diseases such as cancer, heart and diabetes.
Well-fare Week is an initiative of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) aimed at promoting health and well-being throughout the Region of the Americas.
