Mayabeque, Cuba: The Provincial Direction of Passenger Transportation in this province applies a strategy to respond to the shortage of fuel, resulting from the sharpening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States government against Cuba.
Among the main decisions are to give service to the settlements in the opening and closing of the line, to carry out the inter-municipal linkage through the system of popular inspectors, who have the mission of ensuring that cars and state vehicles do not transit empty and add in a voluntary way private drivers.
From about twenty boarding points that existed in the province for the transfer of citizens now around 60 are working at the exits of the population areas. Through this modality thousands of passengers are transferred daily and it has the popular support and approval.
Other priority aspects are the distribution of the basic basket and meat for diets to hospitals, grandparents' houses, among other entities served by local governments.
