Mayabeque, Cuba: The Base Business Unit (UEB) Apicultural Mayabeque won the headquarters of the provincial event for the Day of the Agricultural Worker, the coming October 3.

According to the Secretary General of the Agricultural, Forestry and Tobacco Trade Union in the province, Juan Fermín Valera Jorrín, to take this decision, taken in conjunction with the State Direction of Agriculture, they took into account the fulfillment of the union's tasks, as well as the results productive and economic during the year 2018.

In the last five years, this UEB has over-fulfilled its production plans, without increasing its staff and with efficient use of energy carriers. The productive growth was a consequence of the correct handling of the hives.

“We prepare for this celebration with unity and commitment. We are painting all the exteriors of the center and, prior to the date, we will carry out other actions of which we will all be protagonists”, the general secretary of the Union in the UEB, Nayda Romero Merino, affirmed.

The center located in the Finca Santa Rosa, in lands of the Melena del Sur to Güines highway, collects high quality honey produced in the eleven municipalities of the province and that from the beekeepers associated with cooperatives in Havana, whose main destination is the export.
