Mayabeque, Cuba: Dálila García Hernández, is a Madruga`s resident proud of the time she has the opportunity to live, because accompanying the Revolution from the beginning is  a privilege and it includes being a founder of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), 59 years ago.

Dálila has carried out dissimilar tasks beyond the revolutionary vigilance that has always been the raison d'être of the organization. She is one of the essential people in the CDR number two of constituency 18 in Madruga, where she resides.

The experience of almost six decades makes her say with certainty that from each block the homeland is made. "The CDRs constitute a village army in defense of their conquests,"  Dálila says.

At 79 years of age she still makes Revolution from the neighborhood and works to strengthen the largest mass organization in Cuba.
