Mayabeque, Cuba: The recovery in the youngest province of the country of semi-protected crop structures will guarantee greater production of vegetable varieties destined for tourism.

This was referred to this digital site by Ernesto Rodríguez Hernández, a cover house specialist of the Mayabeque Business group.

“With the limitations that we have, we are repairing some modules in Melena del Sur, Güines and Villena. In Nueva Paz we have the 36 houses in production. ”

700 trays of certified quality postures of chili, cabbage and especially tomato are ready in Melena del Sur to start planting these crops that substitute imports.

These units allow to obtain quality productions throughout the year despite the rigors of intense heat, by decreasing about 32 percent of solar radiation.

The ships also protect the crops from the rains, and promote a more sustainable use of pesticides, preventing environmental pollution, although they are committed to a more organic soil management.
