Mayabeque, Cuba: Workers of the Bank of Credits and Commerce (BANDEC) of this province today commemorated the Day of the Banking Worker. In the activity a group of workers and managers were recognized with the Seals for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 35 years of uninterrupted work and outstanding work, followers of the example of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, first president of the Revolutionary Banking.

The director of BANDEC in Mayabeque, Artemisa and Havana, Francisco Ramos Orta, said that they assume difficult challenges with the computerization that is being taken throughout the country, where the two first play a fundamental role, since they are pioneers in assuming those technologies.

Orta also referred to the creation of systems such as the operation of ATMs, virtual BANDEC for the population, multi-bank, among others that benefit citizens and workers of the sector.

The Bank of Credit and Commerce, was created on November 12, 1997, through a provision provided by the Executive Committee of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba and was granted, through Resolution No. 1 of the Central Bank of Cuba, General License to carry out all types of financial intermediation operations, in national and foreign currencies, both in the national territory and abroad, in the offshore banking center, free zones and industrial parks.

Commercial management is organized based on a conception of markets, assigning responsibility to the commercial departments for the implementation and attention of the main segments. Since its foundation, BANDEC has been the leader in the attention to the Cuban business sector and by branches of the economy it covers the most important portfolio of clients belonging to Agriculture and Sugar.
