Mayabeque, Cuba: The Electric Base Business Unit in Jaruco intensifies its actions to monitor the compliance with energy saving measures in the high consumer centers of the territory, mainly during high demand schedules.

From 11:00 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon, and from 6:00 to 8:00 at night, the state sector entities in the town turn off the equipment that uses more electricity for its operation, the director of that entity, Eustasio Rubio said.

Along with the inspections, the director expressed they will process the incidents detected to ensure greater control and promote the search for alternatives with the purpose of reducing electricity consumption.

Among the measures taken in the face of the energy situation caused by the resurgence of the US blockade against Cuba, the unit develops dissemination work with the population to raise awareness in the current circumstances.
