Mayabeque, Cuba: More than 200 patients in Madruga, mainly older adults, regained their vision in the last two years thanks to the benefits of the Public Health System of Cuba.

They, like thousands of other patients inside and outside the country, benefited from Operación Milagros (Operation Miracle) and improved their quality of life. Such is the case of Mirta Martínez, a Madruga resident.

Mirta describes her ability to recover vision as a transit of life in darkness to meet the light. She also defines it as an achievement of the Cuban Revolution.

She also says that this operation restored her vision and desire to live, for which she expressed her gratitude to the Cuban doctors and the Revolution.

She also emphasizes that all her treatment was completely free and said that this only happens in Cuba, one more reason why the world admires and respects it.

An example of this is the support received again from the international community at the United Nations, and this time I will be able to see clearly the result of the vote sitting in front of the house TV.
