Mayabeque, Cuba: The dumping of sewage in the corner of the Funeraria de Güines, will be solved after large-scale works that the earthmoving brigade of the hydrology company of Havana is carrying out.

The director of aqueducts and sewerage in the municipality, Marcos Alcántara, explains that “looking for solutions, engineers and project executors, came to help us and find a possible solution to evacuate the water. This is a section that did not have sewerage, we are going to take advantage of the moment and we are going to connect the neighbors to the sewage system to eliminate spills towards the street and the accumulation of water in the place”.

The head of the earthmoving brigade of the Havana hydrology company, Adalberto Vázquez Núñez, argues: "We use backhoes, dump trucks, compaction equipment."

"Because we unload for the ditch and when this rush is made, we unload directly to a sewer that was not done, this benefits everyone who lives here, children and everything, frees us from disease."

“They have done a great work and they have solved problems for people, because at least I, who had no water inside my house, already have it and they have really worked fast and wanted to help people, because there are those I had no way to unload for the street, they did it backwards and without a pit”.
