Mayabeque, Cuba_ Specialists from the Institute of Animal Science, located in the province of Mayabeque, work in the implementation of new technologies for the development of tropical farming, as well as animal production system to ensure the technical, social and economic sustainability of Cuba, Radio Rebelde reported.

"The biomass bank that provides food to the animals especially in the dry season, the threading for monogastric animals, produced in the seven plants in the country, with the intention to increase these plants and reduce the import of feed, are samong these technologies", Dr. Yoandra Marrero explains.

Likewise, the extension work around the agricultural system, and the articulation of technical scientific results contribute to the agricultural and social development.

The specialist stressed the importance of training and education of undergraduate and postgraduate, master's and doctoral studies because they promote the good results.
