Mayabeque, Cuba: The Minister of Tourism of Cuba, Juan Carlos García Granda, and the Deputy Minister of the sector, Luis Miguel Díaz Sánchez, toured the facilities of the Escaleras de Jaruco Park as part of the second government visit to Mayabeque.

The first stop was at El Árabe Restaurant where one of the park's administrators and historian, Gerardo Castro Caraballo, highlighted Fidel's role in creating this recreational complex conceived in harmony with nature.

The Minister of Tourism was interested in services, the amount of Cuban and foreign public visiting these places, as well as in the supply of water, a matter pending of solution and of extraordinary importance to promote a change in the place.

Díaz Sánchez, together with other authorities of the Party, the Government and the Business Group, visited El Criollito Restaurant, El Mirador, the camping base and the Escaleras de Jaruco hotel recently submitted to a million-dollar investment process.

Yulienni Barroso Duarte, Mayor of Jaruco, referred to local development projects, while exposing some of the possible ideas to concretize through productive linkages with the agricultural sector that favor the promotion of tourism in the place .

The Minister of Tourism of Cuba, Juan Carlos García Granda, showed the will to support the projects that contribute to the rescue of the facilities and the promotion of national and foreign tourism.
