Mayabeque, Cuba_ A prophylactic campaign to promote the use of helmets is carried out in all the territories of Mayabeque mainly at the beach areas, with the drivers that do not obey the Law 109 of the Security Road Code, among them, those running electric motorcycles, Radio Camoa publishes.

That campaign also includes measures with riders that repeatedly drive without using the helmet for what they are punished with 12 points for the conduction license and a fine of 60 pesos.

According to First Lieutenant Jesus Victor González Galván, first official of Traffic in Mayabeque, not to wear the helmet is an indiscipline that provokes a significant number of accidents.

Besides the Campaign of the helmet, the Traffic Department in the province, carries out other actions during these months of July and August to diminish the percent of incidents, among them, to establish alcohol rate points, the checking of the technical state of the vehicles and to avoid excess of passengers and speed.
