Mayabeque, Cuba_ Two new farms belonging to René Orestes Reine Credits and Services Cooperative in San José de las Lajas, are incorporated to the production of fruits as demonstrative areas in the use of EcoMic, Radio Camoa publishes.

The farms were selected for the experiment due to their proximity to the unit where the bio fertilizer plant will be situated and because they have important sources of water supply like a micropresa and a well in an area characterized by its rocky floors.

During the first stage they will sow fruit-bearing of short cycle and later they will incorporate others as mango, guava and mamey, in which the results of EcoMic will be seen in a long term because of the long vegetative period of those species.

Specialists of that sector in the province will advise producers linked for the first time to those works and peasants belonging to the group of the One hundred Hectares of fruit-bearing of the Urban Agriculture, to achieve the development of those cultivations.
