Mayabeque, Cuba_ The municipality of San Nicolás holds the World Week of the Breast Feeding, from August 1st to 7th with the strengthening of the educational work by means of chats and conversations with pregnant women.
Paula Pérez Pérez, promoter of Education for the Health in the municipality, Celia Sánchez Maternal Home in this southern territory has become the headquarters of the main activities for the day.
In this context the expectant mothers and their relatives will receive instruction about the importance of feeding the babies only with maternal milk, their benefits for the mother, the newborn and the family.
The Cuban Women Federation Women also promotes the activities in several delegations of the locality.
In Cuba babies receive that food, after the first half hour of birth and some of them beyond the six recommended months, because women count with a license of rewarded maternity until the child reaches the first year of life.
