Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Young Communist League (UJC by its Spanish initials), in San Nicolás, is promoting actions during this month to greet the Youth's International Day, next August 12th.

Irisneidy Vázquez Márquez, highest responsible of more than the 500 members of UJC in the territory, explained that they will arrive to the anniversary with the strengthening of the political ideological work, the direct debate between the militants and the multifactorial work with the rest of the organizations.

Another topic in the agenda, concerning the celebration, is the functioning of the base structures that include the responsibility and the role of youths in each sphere of the society.

The United Nations’ General Assembly declared August 12 as the Youth's International Day in the year 1999.
