Mayabeque, Cuba_ Mayabeque applies the National Program of Conservation and Improvement of the floors, with the pursuit and control of the Ministry of the Agriculture, Mayabeque newspaper publishes.

Starting from that project they use alive and dead barriers, dams, green fertilizers and sowing in the surrounding areas, which contribute to diminish the degradation of the floors in this province and to begin their recovery.

With these alternatives the erosion is eliminated in the nearest areas to the costs of this territory, among which Santa Cruz del Norte, Jaruco, Batabanó, Melena del Sur and San Nicolás have a great incidence.

Several factors have influence in the lands damage such as the climate, the geologic formations or those caused by the man.

Around 60 t of worm humus and 800 of compost, besides other organic matters are being prepared in the province to achieve the floor recovery at the moment.

This initiative can be extended to the whole country, to favor in a general way the rest of the territories and to improve the natural environment.
