Mayabeque, Cuba_ Fructuoso Rodriguez Perez Agrarian University of Havana, UNAH, in Mayabeque, celebrates today September 7th, the anniversary 40 of its creation, Radio Camoa publishes.

The house of high studies, inaugurated in 1976 with the name of Superior Institute of Agricultural Sciences of Havana, is the oldest of its kind in Cuba.

From its beginnings the educational center fulfills the mission of contributing to the sustainable development of the country through the integral formation, the continuous training of professionals, the scientific investigation, the university extension with high quality and relevancy, a high impact in the agrarian sector in the unification process of the superior education with a strong link with the centers of the scientific-educational Complex.

At the present time UNAH, has 7 faculties where 15 careers are studied and it also keeps scientific-technique cooperation links with 23 countries, 131 agreements with universities of all the continents and narrow relationships of collaboration with organisms of the United Nations, as well as with non-government organizations to achieve a sustainable management.

The loyalty to the Revolution and the defense of its principles, to stay among the five better universities of the country, as well as its unquestionable leadership in the superior education and their full integration to the agrarian sector are among the visions of this center of superior education.
