Mayabeque, Cuba__ The Tenth International Congress on Higher Education, organized by researchers from the Institute of Animal Science (ICA in Spanish) will be held from next February 15th to 19th, at the Havana International Conference Center.

Under the motto Innovative University for Sustainable Human Development, the event aims to highlight the impact of university innovation in sustainable human development.

According to the organizers there will session The Forum of University Rectors on February 16, a space for reflection where the academic authorities will exchange and discuss about the central theme of the Congress.

Issues related to the progress and ways to achieve a sustainable development, the role of science in contributing to food security and sovereignty, and the work of the university in the prevention and mitigation of disasters will be some of the topics to be discussed during the meeting.

The delegates will visit institutions of marked significance and impact on academic, research and cultural areas, where they ill have the opportunity to interact directly with the protagonists.

The Congress is preceded by pre-congress short courses, on topics of interest to foreign delegates that will be taught by professors of national and international prestige.
