Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Book and Reading Festival 2016 opens its doors starting today at the Fructuoso Rodríguez Agrarian University of Havana in San José de las Lajas, with an invitation to enjoy the artistic and intellectual work of Mayabeque, Cuba and the world, the digital site of Radio Camoa publishes.

The proposals of this new festival of the letters and the arts that will last until November 25th will enrich the cultural life of the community of this house of high studies and will provide an atmosphere of joy among the students.

During these four days the Cultural Hall of the UNAH will host the inaugural concert with a violinist from the Law Career, the sale of texts of interest for the universitary students, the launch of the contest Un Boccaccio Intramuros, a theater space with the amateur artists movement (MAA ) of the Federation of University Students (FEU), a literary Café, the final of the knowledge meeting "La Agraria intranquila" and a Performance for the Day of Non-Violence towards Women.

Another of the scenarios will be the library of UNAH, with the presentation of the poemario "Donde me rompo me junto" of Damaris Romero del Águila, who will be in charge of a recital of poetry, in addition it will take place the launching of the magazine of the Continental Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Sttudents, OCLAE and Nuris Quintero will lead another of the literary activity. 

In the Video Room of the Agrarian University, Juan Carlos García Guridi will give the conference " Poets of Mayabeque in the Colony and the Republic" and during the nights in that installation the participants will enjoy from the seventh art and of a space for discussion with specialists in the subject . The films to be screened will be Apocalypse Now, American Beauty, Purple Color and La Bella de la Alhambra.
