Mayabeque, Cuba__ The 19 de abril Agriculture and Livestock industry of Quivicán received new agricultural equipment which humanizes and improves the work of planting and harvesting food in this part of the province.
Heredio Gobin González, agricultural director of the entity, explained to the provincial media the entry into operation of 12 tractors of different working powers for the preparation of lands and cultural attention, as well as other implements, where stand out other equipment such as grain and vegetable sowing machines, and two for corn and bean harvesters, that will make agriculture more efficient and humanize the work of farmers, the source said.
With these inputs, coming from the bilateral relations between the Federative Republic of Brazil and our country, are being concreted the technical and material support of the program More Food in the Island.
The agricultural director of this company in Quivicán explained that before this acquisition they before they had 22 tractors, which now total 34, to serve 6400 hectares of land in the municipality.
In relation to the harvesters, one of the highest impact equipment, at present they improve the chances of taking advantage of the harvest of beans and corn, since there was a great lost in the fields in past campaigns, although they are also designed to collect other grains such as chickpea, the executive said.
These set of equipments will be used in state entities and in the cooperative and peasant sector, and will be directly help to increase the harvest yields.
