Mayabeque, Cuba_ A workshop for young scientists took place at the National Center for Agricultural Health (CENSA by its Spanish initials) with the presentation of 15 papers related to the agricultural, veterinary and food safety activities.
Yaima Sanchez Perez, president of the organizing committee, said that the workshop was attended by young specialist with results in science researches and innovation areas.
The event also hosted investigators from other centers such as the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, the Institute of Animal Science and the Civil Defense Research Center.
Advances in epidemiology of classical swine fever in Cuba by Osvaldo Fonseca got the category of relevant.
Lidia Chang Sidorchuk with the investigation First Report of Rhynchosia Golden mosaic Yucatan virus (Glycine max) infecting the soybean crop in Cuba, made the best exposition.
Other outstanding works were Population parameters of Tuta absoluta (Meyrick), exotic species for Cuba and Selection of Predators Miridos for Biological Control of Leticia Martinez Duarte.
This third edition of the event was marked by the quality of the works and the participation of young people from other research centers.
