Mayabeque, Cuba__ The Center for the Development of Visual Arts (CDAV) in the capital of the country will host from January 13 to February 18 an exposition of more than twenty creators of Mayabeque that are part of the El Experimento Project.
Eduardo de la Cruz Guerra, director of the Provincial Center of Visual Arts and founder of this initiative, explained that the exhibition includes bi dimensional works, with photos, paintings, performance, installations, art videos and interventions.
The güineros Francisco Núñez, Abiney Barrios, Luis Alberto Saldaña and Amed Fernández, are of the national and international renowned artists who participate in this event.
Other artists participating are Carlos Llanes, Lázaro Yovany EnrÃquez, Yuri Santana, Heider Reyes Rosa and Luis Reinier EnrÃquez, among others.
On the opening day the Bandera Blanca group will offer a concert of fusion music of pop rock, blue and jazz. It also will be presented the ArteSky Project, as well as troubadours and sound groups of the Hermanos Saiz Association in Mayabeque.
De la Cruz Guerra added that it is an honor to exhibit contemporary pieces at the Center for the Development of Visual Arts, as this is one of Cuba's most important cultural institutions.
This event is sponsored by the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), the Hermanos SaÃz Association, (AHS), and the Provincial Directorate of Culture.
