Mayabeque, Cuba__ The Provincial Event of Economic Thought will be held on next Fecruary 22nd, sponsored by the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC), in Mayabeque, and the chair of History-Marxism of the Fructuoso Rodríguez Agrarian University of Havana.

The meeting will take place at the headquarters of the ANEC, in Melena del Sur, with the participation of members of the organization in all the municipalities of the province, as confirmed by the organizers.

To strengthen the role of the association in the exchange between professionals, students and institutions interested in promoting Cuban economic thought and its impact on society, as well as contributing to the fulfillment of the guidelines of the economic and social policy of the party are among the main objectives of the event.

The main topics to be discussed are Cuban economic thought and its influence in the community, as a way to maintain socialism in Cuba, the role of Fidel Castro and Ernesto Ché Guevara in this sense, the system of business improvement in Cuba and the study of Non-state forms of economic management, among others.

Rubén Cruz Quintana, president of the economists in Melena del Sur, said that they are expecting a wide participation in the event.
