Mayabeque, Cuba_ The second stage of the 55 Antipolio Vaccination Campaing will start from in Mayabeque, the next March 28th to April 3rd of the present year, Radio Camoa website reported.
Children of 30 days old to 2 years, 11 months and 29 days that received the dose during the first period, will be the vaccinated now as well as those aged 9 years, 11 months and 29 days.
About 16 thousand children will be vaccinated in the corresponding policlinics and the health authorities recommend not administrating the vaccine to those suffering from fever, diarrhea or vomits.
Besides, it is advisable to wait 30 minutes before and after the vaccination to drink water and it should not be applied in immunodeficient children or those allergic to any component of the vaccine.
Cuba is one of the countries in the continent, which stands in the campaign to eradicate Poliomelitis, with the administration of more than 83 million doses between 1962 and 2015, achieving the protection of the Cubans younger than 58.
