Mayabeque, Cuba__ The organopónico of the Agrarian Production Cooperative CPA 26 de Julio, in Quivicán, keeps good productive and economic results during the last visit of urban and suburban agriculture.

Taira Madruga Corvo, head of the area of the CPA, explained that since its creation more than three decades ago, each year they are profitable for the variety of crops, sales to the population and their contributions to social consumption.

According to Madruga Corvo they have more than 14 varieties of vegetables and other crops among which stand out beet, chilli and capsicum pepper, carrot, and onion.

In the past year, the revenues achieved were above 32 thousand pesos, which contributed more than planned to the profits of the cooperative and improved the salaries of associates and workers.

The sales in the Popular Councils Quivicán, La Salud and Noriega increase the acceptance of the obtainments, and also stand out for their modest prices, together with the quality.
