Mayabeque, Cuba_ Jaruco’s poet Encarnación de Armas attended as a guest the space Entre Bibliotecas this in the Casa de Abuelos, of San Jose de las Lajas, in coordination with the José Martí Cultural Society from Mayabeque, under the leadership of the writer Julia Cabalé, Radio Camoa publishes.
In the first part of the meeting the guest spoke about the work of the Apostle and read poems from the books Los cuadernos de apuntes de José Martí o la legitimación de la escritura from the researcher and essayist Caridad Atencio.
Encarnación de Armas also shared with the audience verses of two of her books, the first was Llave de cristal y espuma, which deals with children's poetry and addresses the life and work of the National Hero.
After that she read the poems of the anthology Para después de mañana, recently published by Montecallado publishing house.
Those attending the event could learn more about the work of Encarnación, whom was dedicated the Book Fair 2017 in the demarcation.
The meeting also included workers from the public library Hugo Rivero Alamo, of San Jose de las Lajas, intellectuals, retirees and residents of the community.
Mercedes Guerra, president of the Cultural Society José Martí presented a diploma of recognition to Encarnación de Armas on behalf of the organization.
As a sign of respect and admiration Ernesto Pomarrón Guerra, member of the Municipal Bureau of the Young Communists League in the provincial capital also honored the guest poetess with a beautiful flower and a diploma in the name of the youth in San Jose de las Lajas.
