Marisol Marcheco González, specialist in Local Development of CITMA, said that the territory has several programs aimed at achieving a better life system and care for the environment.

Among the most important Marcheco González noted Manglar Vivo, aimed at reducing vulnerability to coastal flooding through adaptations based on ecosystems in the south of the province and Artemisa.

Likewise, she highlighted Prodel, with the purpose of promoting local development, as well as OP15-Project 2, which is linked to the pure conservation of water and all its benefits to human, animal and environmental health.

The specialist in Local Development of Citma in Mayabeque explained that among the important impacts of Prodel, to cite just one example, is the El Panqué sweets store, in the municipality of Nueva Paz. She also referred to the strengthening of the production of construction materials in the Constructive Maintenance Brigade of that same municipality identified in the vicinity of the settlement, The Capitol.
