The vice president of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources, engineer Antonio Rodríguez Rodríguez, announced that by 2018 Mayabeque will have 20 million pesos for the execution of investments for the benefit of the economy, the population and the environment, the newspaper Trabajadores reports.

The construction of new pipelines, the drilling of wells and the importation of pumping equipment to transfer the water are some of the emerging works to counteract the drought situation in the province.

Inés María Chapman, president of this agency, refers to the importance of having legal norms to eliminate indisciplines and illegalities that affect the quality of the service.
