Mayabeque, Cuba__ The Mayabequese Lianna de la Caridad Montero was awarded the silver medal in the 55 kilogram division in the World Fighting Championship for youths, according to Granma newspaper.

A day after her compatriot Yudaris Sánchez had a similar performance in the 67 kilos, Lianna had 4 wins before giving up 4 to 6, in the final against Japan's Sae Nanjo.
