Mayabeque, Cuba_ The special school The pioneers, who care for children with disabilities in the province, complete the preparations for the next school year, which will begin its activities on September 4.

Saraí Pérez Hernández, director of the center, said that there are 52 students, including those blind or with low vision, deaf and some with mental disorders, who also receive medical attention in the area.

She noted that the school works to ensure the education of these students as evidenced their 98 percent promotion in the past year.

One of the tasks in charge of the special school, located in Bejucal, is to achieve the incorporation of students who can assimilate it to regular education in the upper grades of primary education.
