Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Electric Union is advancing in the restoration of the interconnection of the national electricity system, most of which was collapsed by Hurricane Irma, with support from the province, Trabajadores newspaper reports.

In this sense, the Thermoelectric Power Station of the East of Havana and the mixed company ENERGAS S.A., are incorporated to the task, both entities located in the demarcation.

Engineer Lázaro Guerra Hernández, technical director of the company, specified that it is a very complex work, with a measured and technical analysis, because no failure can occur that forces to start again in the reconstruction of a system in which they began from zero.

He mentioned that the mixed brigades, advised by a specialist of the Electricity Union, are already available for the cutting of trees, opening of holes in case of new stakes and other work that facilitate the restoration of the circuits.
