Mayabeque, Cuba_ Favorable reception received the works presented at the First National Workshop on Management Models of the Cuban press, an event in which Radio Mayabeque shared its experiences in the evaluation of journalistic works, and which was chaired today by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers and member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba.
Díaz-Canel Bermúdez acknowledged the need to promote these meetings in order to position the content generated by the Cuban press in the network of networks as the new journalism is routed towards multimedia, which requires a preparation of the word professionals.
He added that this is the time of interactivity and convergence and therefore the cadres should welcome the development of these processes to promote spaces of exchange, open to creativity.
The First National Workshop of Management Models of the Cuban Press, organized by the Union of Journalists of Cuba, had as its headquarters the University of Information Sciences, (UCI), a center that is directly linked to new ways of saying on the Internet, as a scenario in which the recipients become active entities of communication.
At the closing of the event Aixa Hevia, first vice president of the Union of Journalists of Cuba, (UPEC), said that this space of exchange is not more than the answer to the claim of colleagues at the last plenary session of the National Committee of the organization.
She added that the common purpose is to strengthen revolutionary journalism by socializing projects, proposing methodological bases to implement solutions to improve media management, and at the same time, generate alliances between these and the social actors involved in the work of the press
