Mayabeque, Cuba_ More than 700 homes in the province will be visited as part of the National Population Aging Survey that takes place in the territory from this first of November and until December 15, Radio Camoa publishes.

During these days, they will check people 50 years and older on topics related to sociodemographic and socioeconomic characteristics, health conditions, dependency and care, and the family and social support networks available to these individuals.

The survey staff, previously trained, will visit the homes twice, the first time, collect general household data and on the second occasion, direct questions will be asked to people with that age.

The data that will be obtained from this National Population Aging Survey will provide valuable information for the design of public policies in order to guarantee a better quality of life for the elderly.
